Masoom Ahmadi Rainbow Trout Fish Farm is a pioneering cold-water aquaculture business based in Oba District of Herat Province, Afghanistan. The farm was established by Masoom Ahmadi and his brothers following more than a decade of practical experience in fish farming in Iran. The project was developed to expand domestic fish production, create employment opportunities, and promote aquaculture in Afghanistan. In addition to fish production, the business provides trout eggs and fingerlings, specialized fish feed, nutritional supplements, fish-farming equipment, and technical consulting for the construction, establishment, and management of cold-water aquaculture farms. Masoom Ahmadi has also provided aquaculture guidance and supported the establishment of fish farms in several provinces of Afghanistan. The business has developed its activities around the use of cold, flowing water resources in Oba and aims to contribute to the development of Afghanistan's domestic aquaculture sector and increase local fish production.
