Is this the Sarai Shahzada market rate?
No. Money changers set their own buy and sell prices, which are usually close to the central bank rate but can differ during the day.
How is the gold price calculated?
The international price of one ounce of gold is converted to grams and to afghanis with the dollar rate, then multiplied by the purity of each karat (for example 75% for 18 karat).
