Headquartered in Herat province, DVO was established in 2017 by a group of determined young professionals to use educational development as a vehicle to curb poverty, insecurity, and violent extremism; and to promote economic development. Development Vision strives to enrich local communities, institutions, and the private sector through infrastructure development, humanitarian aid, education and coaching. Trained over 200 youth in Accounting, ICT, English language, Job hunting, Pharmacology, QuickBooks Accounting, and Statistics (EViews). DVO created a training center for high school and university students. The center has trained over 250 students in various subjects so far. DVO accommodated 10 interns at its training center in the year 2019. The interns were placed within DVO through and by collaboration with USAID’s Promote-Women in the Economy (WIE) project.
