OTCD

History Established in March 2007 in response to the changing socio-economic situation and associated challenges in Afghanistan; the Organization of Technical Cooperation for Community Development (OTCD) is an independent, non-political, non-profit, Afghan None Government Organization. The mission of OTCD is, to contribute to the development of Afghan communities through a range of small scale initiatives and interventions, especially for vulnerable youth and women. With more than 132 experienced and trained staff including managers, health professionals, trainers, social workers, community outreach workers, and peer educators; the organization provides a comprehensive and integrated range of community based services targeting various groups of population including people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, drug users and their partners, street and working children, prison inmates, female sex workers, men who have sex with men (MSMs), as well as religious scholars and community elders. It worth mentioning that the target communities are actively involved at various levels of project/program planning, management, and service delivery.
